Two steps to concentrate lithium while recovering water
Reverse osmosis is used to concentrate the lithium stream. This process involves forcing the water through a membrane so as to concentrate the lithium ions. The lithium concentration process proceeds with an evaporation stage, during which the solution is heated to allow evaporation to take place. The evaporated water is then recovered. And, in the process, a more concentrated lithium solution is obtained.
Let’s talk responsible extraction
During both steps, water is recovered, achieving a 60% process water recycling rate.
