Creating jobs and building futures
Job creation is an important aspect of Eramine's project in Argentina: it has helped to create more than 2,500 direct jobs and 900 indirect jobs in the Salta region over the course of the construction phase. During the operations phase, Eramine will create almost 500 direct and indirect jobs.
The company also contributes to the local economy. 92% of these jobs are filled by Argentinian nationals and around 76% of the workforce hails from Salta, with 7% coming from La Puna communities.
Eramine's impact doesn't stop there. With 2,517 people working in contracting companies, the company's influence ripples throughout Argentina, reaching communities far beyond Salta.
The company has invested in the future of talented young people in Salta province: 23 people completed professional internships at Eramine between 2022 and 2023, during the construction period, the majority of whom were later hired and continue to work in the company.
Eramine also provided vocational training to 602 young people from the Salta region. They received professional instruction (Junior Achievement Programmes, mountain driving (ECAM), university mining degrees, Entrepreneurship Programmes), equipping the next generation with valuable skills and knowledge.
